Accessibility Statement

The Peddler is committed to making this website usable by everyone, including people who browse with screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification or reduced motion settings. Accessibility is treated as part of the build, not a retrofit.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. This site is substantially conformant: most content meets the standard, with any known exceptions listed below.

Practical steps built into how we design and develop:

• Semantic HTML with correct heading order and landmark regions.
• Full keyboard operability with visible focus indicators on every interactive element.
• Colour contrast checked against WCAG AA thresholds in both light and dark themes.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images and accessible names for icon-only controls.
• Layouts that reflow to 320px and remain usable at 200% zoom.
• Respect for the reduce-motion preference in animations and transitions.

Embedded third-party content, including map embeds and video players, is outside our direct control and may not fully meet WCAG 2.2 AA. Where a third-party component blocks access to information, we provide the same information in an accessible format elsewhere on the page.

We acknowledge accessibility reports within two business days and aim to resolve confirmed issues within 20 business days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate to the relevant national accessibility or equality body in your jurisdiction.

This statement was prepared through a combination of self-evaluation using automated testing tools and manual keyboard and screen-reader review. It was last reviewed on 1 July 2026 and is reassessed at least annually and after any significant redesign.
