Why your conversion tracking is lying, and how to fix it in a week

Duplicate events, client-side loss and missing offline data quietly corrupt every optimisation decision you make.

Smart bidding is only as smart as the conversion signal you feed it. When that signal double-counts form submissions or drops a third of mobile conversions, the algorithm optimises confidently toward the wrong outcome.

The first fix is deduplication: one event, one identifier, one source of truth. The second is server-side collection, which restores much of the data lost to browser restrictions and ad blockers.

The third and most valuable fix is offline conversion import. If your CRM knows which leads became customers, that information belongs back in the ad platform. Accounts that make this change frequently see cost per acquisition fall thirty percent without any budget change.

Validate everything before you trust it. Run test conversions, reconcile platform numbers against CRM records weekly, and document acceptable variance so nobody panics over a four percent discrepancy.
